Iain McHenry, Business and IT Consultant, visited the Acuity stand at the 2008 Softworld Accounts & Finance show, and shortly after attending one of Acuity’s regular Sage 50 and Act! workshops in March 2009, we were invited to a meeting with Iain and the CCS management team to discuss the project. Having established that Acuity and Sage 200 could meet their requirements, we submitted detailed proposals and presented Sage 200.

The key reasons why Acuity was awarded the contract were our clear understanding of their complex requirements for the migration of their existing TASBooks and Sage 50 branch systems to Sage 200 and the Sage Payroll merger for all branches into a central payroll solution.

Paul Steadman, Finance Director, explains: “We went live on the Sage 200 system within three months as planned and it now provides the platform for comprehensive management information and KPI’s for all branches and franchises within 10 working days of each month-end.
Since go-live CCS has acquired more branches bringing the total number to 32, and we have plans for further acquisitions in 2010, which will all be merged into the Sage 200 Accounts system without increasing staffing levels or overhead costs.
I am very pleased to report that Acuity’s on-going technical support has been excellent and I can unequivocally recommend them as a business partner.”

Nine months later Paul Steadman adds, "Implementation of SAGE 200  provided us with the platform to centralise financial and related administrative processes previously carried out in the branches, gaining improved financial efficiencies and  tighter controls, and allowing the branches to focus on operational issues.
 In particular :
We have reduced our debtor days by 33% and our aged debt by 70%.
-  We reduced our administrative headcount by 66% through centralisation

The implementation also provides us with the platform to centralise administrative roles from future acquisitions, as the group continues to grow, which will allow us to exploit further efficiencies."
