On Tuesday 1st December we prepared a preliminary proposal and conducted an onsite business process survey. Having demonstrated that migrating from Sage50 to Sage200 would significantly streamline their manual stock management, sales and distribution processes, we were invited to submit proposals for new hardware as well.

On Wednesday 2nd December we returned go through our proposals and S. Green & Sons decided to go with our proposal. They informed us that we won the order  because of a combination of our ability to relate Sage200 to their current manual processes so that S Green could easily identify the benefits, and our professional sales approach and our positioning of Acuity as a genuine solution provider.

When Tina Clark joined MA as Financial Controller she recognized immediately that she needed to replace the Accounts & Business Admin functions that were outsourced to a bookkeeper and MA’s Accountants. “I knew exactly what I needed for our new in-house department; I didn’t even have to think about anything except Sage 200, because I knew it did everything we needed.”

She continues, “We were looking for a system that was flexible to cope with the smallest and the largest stores, was expandable, could adapt to multi-currency and provide consistency of reporting for the different stores.”

In an implementation that took just six weeks, Acuity migrated 86 datasets from Line 50 to Sage 200 and provided an automated data import routine from their spreadsheets in the interim to ensure that a full transaction history was converted across to Sage 200. Tina Clark had worked with Acuity Solutions for some years and this confidence made her job that much easier.

As she says, “I knew they would recommend solutions to problems and they would talk to me about quite complex IT matters in plain English. Nowadays if I want a new report that compares store by store performance or store by group average performance we can get one. The traffic lights system within Sage 200 highlights for us what KPIs have changed and it is capable of alerting us to changes for as low as a 1% shift from plan, if we want it that way.”

“I don’t anticipate there’s anything that Sage 200 and Acuity Solutions cannot handle. For what we want they are the ideal combination. And I have reduced our Accounts and Admin costs by more than £100, 000 per annum!”
