Here at Acuity, we are excited to announce that Adrian Koopmann Rochahas recently joined the team as our new Account Manager.I wanted to take the opportunity to hear Adrian's views and visions for Acuity.
Q1 Why did you join Acuity?
'I wanted to implement what I learnt from my marketing degree into a career in sales and marketing so becoming an account manager at Acuity solutions was a no-brainer. During my interview with Steve and Marcus, I got the sense that there would be a plethora of opportunities available to me, such as maintaining relationships with existing clients and trying to find new clients, two important areas I intend on improving effectively.'
Q2 What will you bring to Acuity?
'Apart from hard-work and determination, I will bring some international presence. Having graduated from the University of Leicester in 2019, I’m tenacious to enter the workplace and show that I have the right attitude when it comes to working with people, clients, and a lot of responsibility. Furthermore, my parents are of Spanish and German heritage so being able to draw upon this will surely be interesting when meeting fellow co-workers or clients.'
Q3 What attracted you to Acuity?
'What really made me buy into Acuity as a company was the Sage software which Acuity offers and the fantastic culture Acuity have developed. Firstly, having such a scalable and malleable software to sell to customers who really need it is a great sign for me. It shows the product is useful to the customers who need it but that it can also evolve in the future. Secondly, the work culture is unbelievable, a great mixture of determination and flexibility. I felt at ease in my interview and I felt that Acuity and I had many values in common.'
Q4 What are your first month objectives?
'In terms of my personal brand, I would like to grow my LinkedIn and develop better social media skills so I can reach a wider audience with a clear and interesting message.However, in terms of my education, I think its important to read and teach myself on the products and services offered by Acuity to a high-level. If I want to provide the best customer service, I need to be competent when it comes to product knowledge.'
Q5 What are you currently excited about in your new role?
'The variation in my job role; developing my personal brand, working with existing clients, and trying to find new clients. I just love the idea of learning so many things within Acuity and being able to pursue the areas which interest me the most.'
Q6 What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
'I enjoy travelling to new countries, spending time with friends and family, and watching football. Luckily, I have been fortunate enough to have adventurous parents who love seeing new places and cultures. For example, we visited Costa Rica two years ago and it was one of the most extraordinary countries I have ever seen: the wildlife, their outlook on life, the food, just so many wonderful things in one place. Furthermore, my friends and family come first on an everyday basis: cooking, going-out, playing games…these activities wouldn’t be as fun without the right kind of people around. Moreover, I’m a massive football fan and spend my time watching everything from the Champions League to my local team Hitchin: I just can’t get enough of the sport.'
