Here at Acuity, we are excited to announce that Freya Whitmore has recently joined the team as our new Account Manager.I wanted to take the opportunity to hear Freya's views and visions for Acuity.
Q1 Why did you join Acuity?
'I chose Acuity as they were by far the most engaging, friendly, and exciting company that I came across after I graduated from university. I felt Acuity would give me the right support as a new starter because they offer extensive training in sales, marketing and account management. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the importance of having my own personal brand of account management and am excited to see how I can further develop this during my time at Acuity.'
Q2 What will you bring to Acuity?
'I am a very sociable person and enjoy nothing more than getting to know new people, I am hoping to bring a dynamic approach to building and sustaining interpersonal relationships with clients. I want my clients to feel that they are listened to and that I will identify and analyse any problems before offering the appropriate and tailored solution that they need. '
Q3 What attracted you to Acuity?
'As a graduate of French and German studies the concept of being able to communicate through another language and gain insight into other cultures is really important to me. Acuity’s Sales Director, Stephen Clarke, instantly recognised this which spoke volumes to me of how Acuity similarly value their international teams and overseas clients. I also wanted to ensure I worked for a business who engage in frequent charity work, so I was delighted to discover Acuity’s contribution towards the Sage foundation.'
Q4 What are your first month objectives?
'I am looking forward to meeting and integrating with all the different teams at Acuity and understanding how the business functions with its three pillar structure of people, customer and innovation.'
Q5 What are you currently excited about in your new role?
'From an account managementperspectiveI am excited to be responsible for my own accounts and properly introduce myself to clients. The marketing side to my role is a completely new venture for me that I find very exciting and fast paced. Lastly, having moved here from rural Norfolk I am also excited to find my feet in London and am thrilled to work at the newWeworkoffice thatfeaturesthe most amazing social spaces.'
Q6 What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
'Outside of work I like to socialise with my friends as much as possible, whether that be going out for drinks or going to the gym together. I also take part in a tandem conversation scheme meeting up with French and German nationals to keep up my language skills. During my last year of university I was a member of the athletics team so I’m keen to get back to my long distance running!'
