Q1 When did you join Acuity?
'I joined Acuity in March 2013 after working for a large corporation as an end user of Sage products.'
Q2 What is your role & key responsibilities?
'My role is supporting our Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management (formerly Sage X3) & Sage 200Cloud (formerly Sage 200) customers on the telephone & via e-mail. My key responsibilities are to bring each issue/problem/question reported by clients to a timely resolution working within our published & agreed SLA’s & response times as per our support contracts with the customers. An important aspect in achieving this is to establish good communications & understanding of client’s various needs as a background to their business requirements, and being able to read the background picture and assess their priority in order to re-prioritise within our own workload and plan accordingly.'
Q3 In your opinion, what make’s Acuity different?
'Acuity, as the name suggests, has a sharp focus on delivering excellence within their core knowledge. However, what makes Acuity different is their non-corporate approach in dealing with established customers. It is a very friendly approach which goes far beyond the large corporation approach and Acuity staff have an in built instinct to go out of their way to be helpful to the client. This is not contractual but we are steadily building up a personal image spread by word of mouth and using the other marketing communications tools. In accountancy terms it is called “good will” and can be to a degree quantified as well as qualified as it may well convert to future sales closes.'
Q4 What are your key goals each month?
'The goals are to deal with all incoming traffic in a timely manner and update our CRM system with the knowledge base we have gained so that we do not need to re-invent the wheel among our own teams.'
Q5 What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
'My interests are many & varied, ranging from a passion for Cycling as a competitive sport to playing classical guitar and teaching it as well as studio recording. I also have a passion for film production which I studied at university.'
