Mark Armstrong joins the Acuity Team! #humansofacuity

Here at Acuity, we are excited to announce that Mark Armstrong has recently joined the team as our new Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist. I wanted to take the opportunity to hear Mark's views and visions for Acuity.

Q1 Why did you join Acuity?

'To bring my experience and knowledge from implementing Sage 200cloud into the brand new Intacct world. After talking with Steve, COO, and the rest of the management team here at Acuity, it was clear that we all had the same vision of what Intacct could offer to the UK and Global market. The discussion was essentially lots of ERP/IT/Finance people 'nerding' out, so it was impossible for me to not join the team here.'

Q2 What will you bring to Acuity?

'I've spent the last 4 years implementing Sage 200cloud, for companies in varying industries, so I (hopefully) know a bit about getting companies set up on ERP systems! During this time, I've covered all aspects of ERP projects, including Scoping, Building, Training, Management etc... along with ERP systems, I've also been studying CIMA, meaning I can talk both techy and accounting!'

Q3 What attracted you to Acuity?

'Their approach to Customer Service, whereby the customer comes first and is the main focus. By being the only partner to offer the whole Sage suite of products, they can ensure that the solution offered is the best one for the client and not too big or small.'

Q4 What are your first month objectives?

'The main objective for me is to start getting Intacct projects underway! But with that comes a great deal of planning, meeting with clients and discussions of their requirements to ensure that what we offer is the best possible Intacct solution for their business needs. Also, meeting all of my new colleagues here at Acuity!'

Q5 What are you currently excited about in your new role?

'Working with the great team here at Acuity to make us the Number 1 Sage Intacct partner in the UK.'

Q6 What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

'My main hobby is going outdoors for walks, whether that be up Ben Nevis or on a 6 day hike for the West Highland Way (don't do it, very wet). Also watching the mighty reds of Liverpool win the league and reading. Travelling is also a favourite, I try my best to go on as many city breaks as I can to soak up the culture (and local drinks).'
