How to Create a Customer Account in Sage Intacct:

Got to Applications > Accounts Receivable 

In the ‘All’ tab, select the + button 

 

Where you find ‘Customer’, fill in the relevant customer account details adding in: 

  • Name (the status will automatically default to active as you are only able to use active customers) 
  • Tax ID = the country the customer is based in 
  • Add in the contact information, address, primary telephone number and the email address for the customer. 
  • Add the relevant additional information (customer type ID and the sales representative for the customer account). 
  • In ‘Invoice Detail’ choose the term relevant to the specific customer and the statement and invoice delivery frequencies. 
  • Select the required print / email option from the invoice delivery options 

 

In ‘Tax Solution’ choose the country (in this video demo we are setting up a South African customer so choose South Africa) and ‘Group’ = Local Customer. 

Add any associated customers in the contact list. 

If applicable, you can add in any restrictions for example by location, location group, department or department groups. 

You have now successfully created your customer account in Sage Intacct!
